Gravity Review

Gravity Review
Director: Alfonso Cuar’on
Run Time: 91 mins
Genre: Drama/Sci-Fi/Thriller
Main Cast: Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Ed Harris

Review:

Gravity is one of the most visually immersive 3D movie experience you will ever have similiar to Avatar. Directed by Alfonso Cuar'on it is a survival story amidst space wreckage told in an immersive way with the use of 3D technology surrounded by dead silence for most parts in order to transport you to space as accurately as possible. Although you could watch it in normal screens without 3D, the full grandiose effect of the movie is felt only when watching it in 3D.

Sandra Bullock as Ryan Stone, a medical engineer on her first space mission and George Clooney as Matt Kowalski, the mission commander turn in commendable performances to complement the linear storyline. Sandra Bullock in particular carries the movie on her own for the most part as the sole survivor of the wreckage and whether she manages to escape to earth alive forms the crux of the story. Gravity is one of the most visually stunning and immersive movie to have ever come out and might signal the next phase for 3D animation like what Avatar did at the time. It's best seen in 3D and if possible in IMAX as it will be one of the most visually rewarding movie experience you will ever have.
I give it 4/5 stars
