Taken Review

Genre: Action/ Crime/ Thriller
 Running Time: 93 Min
 Director: Pierre Morel
Main Cast: Maggie grace, Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen

Review:
Liam Neeson stars in this high action blockbuster, heart pumping thriller to rescue his seventeen year old daughter 'Kim' from evil marauding Albanian sex traffickers. His character an ex CIA agent recieves a chilling mobile phone call from his daughter in Paris who is seconds from being snatched. Using his well worn career skills 'Bryan' proceeds to first located the group then his emotionally distanced daughter. Several lines from this movie made it into popular fan memes such as the killer line "I don't know who you are but if you don't let my daughter go I will find you and I will kill you". This movie was followed up with the sequel Taken 2 and a rumored #3.

I found it a fascinating movie and is a personal favourite. Liam literally is the character and highly believable scenario albeit for the 'father' role successfully skirting the law and taking on a whole mafia group to reach his daughter. There are some real global safety concerns which many people have an inadequate knowledge of. The film Taken bundles every-bodies worst travel fears, it grabs you, shakes you and to some extent disturbs you to produce this roller-coaster.

Personal Rating 4/5 stars
★★★★
